Drakes Island House Wells, Maine

Located on a very special peninsula on Drakes Island in Wells, Maine, this new coastal home provides a wondrous 270 degree view and access to tidal salt marshes, the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge and the Atlantic Ocean. The house has been positioned on the site to provide these exquisite views as well as take advantage of prevailing winds for natural cooling in the warmer summer months. The client desired a year-round home with a beach vacation feel as well as a contemporary, yet fitting appearance in this charming island community.

Canoe/Kayak House Ontario, Canada

New construction in the serene landscape of a private pond. Set into the ravine slope, boat storage occurs below while the upper level offers a place to relax and enjoy a warming fire during the cooler seasons. This quiet haven is accessed from the main house above by a wandering series of paths and stairs offering places to pause along the way to absorb the view below.

Beaverdam House Westford, Massachusetts

New construction in a neighbourhood of stately, traditional New England homes. The desire was for a contemporary appearance while blending easily with the local vernacular architecture. The home has three levels when viewed from the rear and by placing the top floor in the roof plane, the scale of the home continues to be responsive to the neighbourhood and read as a two level building.

Sacramento House Cambridge, Massachusetts

Major interior/exterior renovation and addition with complete redesign of the floor plans for a condo conversion. The top floor unit has a private rear deck hidden within the roof plane.

Sycamore House Westford, Massachusetts

Major interior/exterior renovation with complete redesign of the first floor plan, full second floor addition and new mudroom and upper and lower decks. The design request was for a home with a contemporary vernacular feel that made a statement, but preserved the home's relationship with its surrounding neighbours.

Morse Pond House Wellesley, Massachusetts

Located on a peaceful bend in the ponds edge, this major interior/exterior renovation includes a complete redesign of the floor plans and expansion of the second floor. A new deck overlooks a serene and private waterside garden and provides pond vistas.
